Types of Boxes Used for Long Distance Moves
Specialty Boxes
We use specialty boxes, which means that various types of items will be packed in professionally designed boxes that answer specific packing needs. For example:
- Book boxes will be used for books and other printed material. Because of their small size, book boxes may also be used to pack other non breakable small items.
- Large sized boxes called Dish Packs are used for the packing of kitchen items. The Alpha Moving and Storage movers use white paper to carefully wrap all individual dishes, glasses, utensils and so on, before they are placed inside the Dish Packs
- Linen boxes are medium sized boxes that are used for the packing of linen and other similar items.
- Wardrobe boxes are shoulder high cardboard boxes, used to pack coats, jackets, dresses etc. Wardrobe boxes have a metal bar, placed in the middle, so they can be used as mobile coat racks. Shoes and other light items can be placed at the bottom of the wardrobe box.
Boxes for Electronic Equipment and Mattresses
- Mattress boxes are specially designed in order to fit small to medium sized mattresses. For larger mattresses, the movers may need to create a larger box.
- Electronic boxes and television boxes are used for TV’s DVD’s, stereos and other similar equipment. For larger televisions and flat screen televisions, crates and cardboard crates may be necessary.
Custom Boxes
All glass and marble items are bubble wrapped and placed inside custom cardboard boxes to ensure maximum protection.
