It goes without saying that researching the way moving and relocation companies charge for the move is important. You will need to make sure that you understand the terms the mover uses and that the estimate is crystal clear.
A good estimate should detail the basic charge unit and include all possible fees and surcharges. Ask your mover if all the possible additional fees, such as packing and access fees are mentioned in the written estimate.
Again, make sure that everything is clear and that you understand the terms and conditions. Don’t hesitate and ask your relocation consultant for clarifications and ask as many questions as you need until you understand how all fees are applied.
