Selling Items of Furniture to your Buyer
Check with the buyer of your house if she is in need of purchasing furniture. Many times, you will discover that you can sell a lot of your unwanted furniture to your buyer. This is an excellent way to make things easier for all parties involved.
Items to Leave Behind
When it comes to flammable liquids and items, there’s not much of a dilemma about whether or not you should move them – it is absolutely prohibited to move them. Also, do not move hairspray cans – they might explode during the move – deodorants, various car cleaner, aerosol cans of any type and so on. If you are unsure about certain items or flammables, be sure to call your Alpha Moving & Storage relocation consultant.
Moving Appliances
Before moving your appliances, take into consideration factors such as color, age and size. An ancient refrigerator, for example, is probably not worth moving long distance, the same goes for washers, dryers, stoves and so forth. If you are looking for a new look for your new home, consider the color of your appliances. Also, be sure to take measurements to check whether they would fit into niches, against certain walls etc.
Decorations and Miscellaneous
Don’t just stuff boxes with miscellaneous items, Christmas decorations, and so forth. In most cases, it’s just not worth it. It’s better to throw away, sell or donate such items that add a few dozen of unnecessary boxes to your move.
