If you are moving locally, make sure that the mover is located in your immediate area and has a local headquarters.

So how would finding great movers will be checked? All movers will claim to be highly trustworthy and it is up to you, the customer, the check the credibility of such statements a with reliable sources. The premiere such sources are the BBB and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Another helpful way is getting references from customers who have used the services of the moving company in the past.
