Even if a mover provides you with a bottom line price, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t any extra fees. And make sure to read all the paperwork before signing anything so you don’t get hit with surprise charges.
What Are Your Moving Insurance Options?
You don’t want to wait until after you’ve incurred damages to check about the insurance. There’s a big difference between basic liability and full coverage, especially if you have expensive items. Again, some movers won’t tell you anything about insurance unless you ask, so be sure that you do. If you have expensive items to move, full coverage is always the best way to go.
What Are My Payment Method Options After My Move?
Some moving companies accept credit cards only for the deposit and take payment for the rest of the move in cash or certified check. So, if you plan on using your credit card for the relocation payment, be sure to ask in advance. Some companies may charge you an extra fee for credit card payment, so ask about that as well.
