Finding a reputable moving company and getting a fair and reasonably priced moving estimate is not an easy task.

Are you a broker or an actual moving company?
If the answer is a broker then you should probably look elsewhere, as brokers will simply outsource your scheduled move to another company.

Can you provide me with your license numbers?
It is very important to check that your potential mover is licensed and registered. Don’t take their word for it and ask that the actual license numbers will be sent to you. Once you get the information check that the company does not have a large number of complaints or violations.

Is packing included in the moving estimate price?
Most movers will charge separately for packing and packing materials. In order to avoid unnecessary and often uncomfortable surprises on the moving day, make sure that you understand how the packing charges actually work and how much materials and labor may cost you.

Local companies with an actual headquarters in your area should always be preferred. The recommendation is to pay your potential movers a visit and take a look at their trucks, equipment and storage facilities.

Most professional, reputable moving services will be registered with the Better Business Bureau and will have a high rating. Make sure that the mover you are considering for your relocation is properly accredited.
